The Mala is a sacred rosary containing 108 beads, traditionally used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the names of a deity. This spiritual practice, known in Sanskrit as japa, is a powerful tool for meditation and mindfulness.

Each mala is crafted from natural materials, including traditional Rudraksha seeds and various gemstones, often finished with a beautiful tassel. Imported directly from Ahmedabad, India by Ancient Wisdom Dropshipping, these pieces carry a deep connection to their cultural origins.

Hindu tradition holds that the correct way to use a mala is with the right hand, using the thumb to flick one bead to the next while the mala is draped over the middle finger. The index finger represents the ego—the greatest impediment to Self-Realization—and is therefore avoided during the practice of chanting to maintain focus on spiritual growth.

Please note: Due to the natural characteristics of the gemstones and seeds, each bead's size and the overall length of the mala may vary. The size of the beads is approximately 0.6 cm to 0.8 cm, and the total length is approximately 60 cm to 80 cm.

Truly esoteric.
